PASTOR LARRY NEWCOMER
Elder
Larry Newcomer’s life and ministry is driven by a passion for the supremacy and centrality of the crucified and risen God-Man, Jesus Christ. His appetite to study and understand the Scriptures began as a senior in high school. Later he recognized that his keen interest in the Bible included the twin gift of pastor-teacher. After graduating from Tarleton State University (BA 1972) he served for 18 months as an associate pastor in Houston. In 1974 he founded Mills Road Baptist Church. Shepherding the flock of God to stand as a pillar and buttress of the truth by teaching the authoritative word of God is evidence of God's continued call on his life. Larry and his wife Karen have three faithful children, Lucas, Kyle, and Kara.
